About 640,000 jobs will be created in the next 10 years if Nigeria revives its rubber plantations in the six geo-political zones, President of the National Rubber Producers, Processors and Marketers Association of Nigeria (NARPMAN), Peter Igbinosun, has said
Speaking in Ilorin at the inauguration of the Kwara State chapter of the association on Saturday, Igbinosun said the revival of rubber production, processing and marketing would remove unemployment in the country by turning waste to wealth.
The President of NARPMAN, who stressed that no country could survive without rubber said, “There is the need to make agro rubber business a worthwhile investment venture in Nigeria. It will employ 640,000 people directly involved in the plantation project.”
